Went to one of my favorite little lakes on Monday and caught a 5g bucket full of new fish!
Didn't count but I got a TON of Pumkinseeds, a few Largemouth and a couple Green sunfish (which I didn't even know we had around here!)
Almost all of them are small, but I got one really good sized pumpkinseed. All of them ended up split between two tanks for the time being, some of the smaller pumpkinseeds are being used for feeders for larger fish. And I gifted the smallest LMB to a friend, since he was getting beat up with the others.

Bass and Greens ate guppies within minutes of being introduced into the tank. All are doing really well! (minus those thrown in the big tank with the big fish!)

Still on the hunt for some Crappie, and when I catch some that make it home alive, the majority of the pumpkinseeds will most likely be filleted for big fish fodder.

Here's some crappy cellphone pics for you guys!

Thanks! These are just the little ones, Didn't get to take pics of the larger ones in the other tank... they are still pretty spooked, but these little guys come right up to the glass and beg already! XD

Sweet. I cant wait until I can devote my larger tanks to natives.

Thanks guys!
It's so much fun to watch how they hang around the structure in the tank. It's going to be great for my fishing endeavors!:grinno:

what looks to be a hybrid Pseed X green in the secong to last pic. nice fish Greens are some of my favs

Are you allowed to keep small LMB in your area?
I know that in Florida it is illegal to catch and keep any LMB under 14".
I would love to keep one, but I don't have the room for a 14" fish.
You can't even keep any Greens here, which are my favorite natives.
