Recently moved one of my mated pairs and the male seems to be breathing heavier than normal. Water parameters are perfect
Temp 82.5
Ph 7.0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
Ammonia 0

Female is fine. Pair is even showing the mating dance. They have been in the tank for less than 24 hours. The tank is well established, over a year. There are 2 small Plecos in there as well. Tank is a 40 gal hex.
I will post a short video
Thanks for your help

Here is the vid

I don't think there is a cause for concern because you stated the parameters are perfect. He's probably stressed from the move and new surroundings. Just watch him over the next couple days. If it gets worse move him back to the original tank, if that's possible still.

Thanks. Yes before the discus were even added I checked the parameters as well as just moments ago. No quick dip tests either. The real deal master test kit.
I've been keeping and breeding discus for several years now. He is my favorite so I am overly worried I guess. The original tank is definitely possible a 125 gal still stocked with discus..

We had a large blizzard dumping 2 feet of snow and lost power. So I was forces to consolidate some tanks so not to overload my generator.

Thank you for your quick response

Your fish looks a little dark for that strain, unless it's just the camera. Also, that extra white stuff off the back of the gills could be a problem. If it's some kind of parasite on the gills that would be why its breathing hard.
