My cb sen was finally straight enough and still for long enough for me to get a good measure today. He's 10 inches; 9.75 ish if nostrils don't count, but they do to me! :) He hasn't quit growing yet and I hope he keeps up this slow and steady rate. Also got a nice picture of his (froggish) head where you can actually see his teeth! Just wanted to share. 20131223_132230.jpg20131223_163046(0).jpg20131223_163117.jpg

Congrats it's usually not easy to get that good growth out of a CB sen. That just shows what a great job your doing at raising your fish and taking care of them.

That tank is gorgeous! Any full tank shots? Congrats on getting it that size.

I'm hoping mine gets as big and thick as yours, right now at 7". What are you feeding yours?

Most of his life he ate hikari sinking carnivore pellets and occasional bloodworms and ghost shrimps. Since the summer I've switched up his diet to accommodate some WV specimens that weren't pellet trained. I mainly feed frozen krill or diced tilapia/catfish fillets (I feed every other to every 3rd night now but previously fed every day). But I toss in earthworms, blood worms, shrimp, and live ghost shrimp for variety. Later this week he's getting some scallops because my husband is allergic and I have to share with someone :) Thanks for all the compliments guys! This guy may be run of the mill compared to my more recent additions but he's what started my obsession, he's got the biggest personality in the tank and he'll always be my favorite.

Potato pic but this is the most recent one I have. My aponogeton (light green long wavy ones) has really been suffering but all of the anubias has been flowering and filling out beautifully.fulltankshot.jpg

Great fish and fantastic tank! Good variety of foods and it looks like you take top notch care of your tank, makes sense how you grew it out so large. We'll done, keep sharing. I will be waiting for the update when it hits 12"
