Has anyone ever tried this? I know cedar is a very soft wood that would probably never sink, but I cut a few beautiful burls off of some cedar I cut for firewood. I'm wondering if I soak and rinse it enough, will it be OK in my tank? Also, will it eventually sink and stay down on it's own?

I am sorry to say this but I really don't think so , because I know pine sap is used in the making of terpentine , I know a pine tree is not the same as a cedar but they are similar and I would be scared to chance it , someone who knows more about this hopefully will chime in

Anyone else? I really want to use this wood, but not if it's going to be bad for the fish.
