found this sweet piece of wood washed up from a lake and i think it might be cedar due to its red inside, it has no odor and has been soaked for a very long time (years maybe?)

ok so i know it leaches tannins and toxins, but i took a freshly dug up stump and drill some bricks to it and stuck it in my tank, 6 years later-no prob. the tree had been cut for some time but the stump was left in the ground untill i dug it up, it went in my 125 stocked with 20 some odd rainbows and giant danios and synodontis cats and BGK and monster pleco and other community tropicals, duz anyone have any experiences where it has ended badly?
