A lfs just got in two ceja rays. I've never seen one before. Has anyone here have any experience with one of these rays.


The first ray and the two smaller rays in the second picture are not Heliotrygon, they are Paratrygon Aiereba. The largest ray in your second picture is Heliotrygon Gomesi. Heliotrygon and Paratrygon are still separate genuses. Paratrygon being the ceja/Apple ray, Heliotrygon being the coly or china rays.yes, they are really cool looking, bu they get huge. like almost 4 feet in diameter.
also, you can NOT mix them with large eyed rays because they'll starve to death.
they have been classified as Heliotrygon genus now.
