Watching the Michael Jackson memorial on tv, I observed the manner by which his life as an entertainer, was celebrated. I wondered if he was able to celebrate his life, when he was still able to do so. I sure hope so.

Not many of us celebrate life as much as we deserve to. We are far too engrossed in surviving to wonder if we are truly living. This Universe is far too enchanting for us to miss if we would just stop to look. Our lives are so full of blessings and beauty if we were to just notice.
Fretting and fuming about all that does not seem right is only going to keep bringing in more pain and misery. Instead, look at the positive aspect of it and celebrate all that you have been blessed with.
Do what you have to do to bring more happiness into your life while you can. Celebrate your life by being the best of who you are. You have to realize the magnificence that resides inside that physical shell.
Strive to do all that you believe in, which makes you unique and outstanding. I believe in being the best in all that I do, even if I am just washing the dishes! I relish each moment I have been blessed with and believe that we all should do the same.
I may not know who you are but I just have one thing to say….celebrate your existence. You have been created with tremendous potentials that go far beyond what you can see and feel. This Universe can and will respond to you, if you would just believe in your ability to make it respond. You have much more power within your physical self than you can possibly imagine.
This is not just about thinking prosperity and success but about believing in them. You should believe that it is possible for you to achieve anything you set your heart to do. Nothing will ever work for you, if you do not have faith. Life relies on faith, as you do on air.
I, for one, believe and live a life of faith. I celebrate life, knowing that I have been blessed abundantly as an individual who realized this fact and who has been given the opportunity to share it with you!
This Universe is a blessing that you have not discovered as yet. Unravel it and the Universal Truth Of Life will leave you breathless with all it can give.

I think more people appreciate life than you may think. We have not discovered life on any other planet yet. That means (as far as we currently know) we are it...So if the slight chance of us being the only life is true, being born is the rarest blessing that can be obtained. To be in control of a conscious mind, is in fact, without known limits, and, the greatest of gifts in which, could ever be bestowed.

i appreciate life purely coz im aware how quickly it can be taken from u.

LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST FOR THE FURTURE IS SCARCE

so true

I agree with many of your thoughts. Too many people just "go through the motions" of life. I too am a person of faith and I believe there's more to life than the eye can see.

"For faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

-Hebrews 11:1

Well, I am not implying that many do not value life. This is just to remind us all form time to time. For if we did value life as much as it deserves to be, we could avoid taking so many things for granted that may not necessarily look spectacular from the outside.

i love your threads...nice break into depth of feelings... even sitting here at the pc is a blessing in life..think of how many people are not able to do simple tasks... or reach out to others ... yes your threads make you pause and think and appreciate...

Thank you.

Couldn't agree more. Even when things aren't going great, I still try to enjoy myself, but right now it's not hard. I just got back from an amazing 3-week trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos.

Also, one of the biggest things bothering me as of late was the fact that I don't have a car and will need one in the next couple of years (graduating from college, moving-possibly out of state-to grad school, etc.). My dad's new job is allowing my parents to get a new car, so in the next couple months one of their old cars is mine, so problem solved. I don't think I could have come home to better news after my awesome trip.

Life? What is life?

The nice thing about it, I think, is that there is no universal definition. Each one may have their own concept of its meaning.

Me? I just make it up as I go along.....enjoying every moment of it, sometimes alone, sometimes shared, most of it now passed, but still looks forward for what comes next, hopefully to pass the joy to the next generation.:D
