Hey guys I hope this is gonna be ok as I just got this 125. The bottom center brace came apart as we were moving it. A piece chipped off and so it's not able to be put back together. It's not very wide so I'm wondering if this is anything to worry over. The top center brace is just fine.

Am I worrying over nothing?

there is a brace there for a reason. I would silicone a strip of glass there just for safety reasons.

I would cut a piece of glass and replace the whole brace with the new glass brace . End to end. Is that on the inside or the outside ?

Did it melt or what? Strange.
I've only seen bracing on the top on modern tanks....it really depends on how the tank was built. A floating bottom where the glass is on the outside edges of the bottom pane usually requires some kind of support like cross bracing. A solid bottom construction typical of most upper end American made tanks wouldn't require the bracing because bracing woulding even work.
Now, if the frame is a solid piece and not a collection of mitered pieces, and the center bracing was molded in, chances are the tank is an imported floating bottom and I would brace the bottom....
And no, you are not worried over nothing.

I think it hit the metal hinge that holds our suv back door shut. It just kinda snapped.

It's a perfecto made tank with pretty thick glass. I just hope it can be fixed as I don't want to have thrown this money away

Glass cages sells new trim pieces on their website. Order the 125g one and replace the current one. Shouldn't be too expensive.

Ok so we have a local picture frame company who can cut some glass. Looks like just regular frame glass. Do I need to get them to cut me an 18" wide piece and glue it from front to back to the black trim? Thanks
