I need a new center brace for my tank, it is 72"x20"x25"

The long pieces are 1/2", the ends are 3/8"

I have a piece of glass that is 3/8" thick and 11" wide, will that be adequate?

Sounds like it would work as a center brace. Do you have side braces as well? I like to put lids on my tanks and it looks a lot cleaner if they fit flush with the braces. Some of my tanks have braces across the front and back as well but if the front and back glass are 1/2" that should be fine.

The brace was 19" wide, but it is cracked. I can cut it down so it is an 11" wide sheet.

I may add two thinner braces closer to the ends, mostly just so I can use 1/8" glass for the lids.
