I just bought my 180 and picked it up today and the center glass pannel the one that supports the tank when its full that keeps the tank from bowing is broken off. Its still in a full piece and i was wondering what way would be best to put it back on. Would scraping off the old silicon and putting on new silicon work? Or is there a special type of glue that would be better?

Well the silicon wore off and i need to put it back on. The glas its self isnt broken. Its a used tank not new and i didnt get it from a store. The old silicon is still on the pannel and the tank. How do i take it off and what would be the eaisest way to get it back on

scrape old glue off with a razor blade. place it where u want it and support it with something and just re-silicone it with ge silicone I i believe. i used that to reseal my 100gal and it worked great.
