i currently have an oscar and gt living together..would it be ok to add a breeding pair of cons?? will the oscar and gt be able to fight back?? any opionions are appreciated..thanks

How big is the tank?

There could be aggression issues. Make sure the Oscar is the biggest in the tank. Then the GT, then the cons.

There are no problems mixing sa and ca cichlids. It's the individual fish, tank size, aggression, etc. that you need to worry about.

k thanks everybody...i have a 75 gallon..and the oscar is about 4''...the gt is about 3.5''..and the cons are about 3.5-4''

that sounds fine, just watch out for the cons as they're very aggressive when breeding and might kill tankmates

do you have trouble with the convict babies getting eaten.mine allways dont last no matter what i do.i feel like separating them becouse i feel guilty.
