OK so the local LFS sold these to me as Firemouth Cichlids. It's been may years since I kept SA cichlids other than Oscars. But in the past having kept Covicts, Firemouths, Red Devils, and Jack Dempseys, with that being said these do not resemble Firemouths. I have two of these unidentified cichlids. Both are still juveniles probably 2" long which makes it hard to ID. So I thought I'd reach out to other experienced aquarist. They have a greenish/grey olive color to them. A centralized black spot. And black vertical bands that fade entirely when startled. They have a dark spot/band on the tail fin as well. They have red streaks on their fins that are hard to see unless close up. They also have electric blue streaks throughout their body. Similar looking to Blue Acra juveniles but no band under the eye

I apologize in advance for not having the best pictures. They are still small and skittish which makes it hard to get a good pic. The tank is densely decorated with Java fern Amazon swords rocks and driftwood. They have no red on their under sides whatsoever

the second picture looks jack dempsey-ish

I haven't ruled out them being Jack Dempsey either. I kept them in the past as I mentioned but they had a lot of blue on them. I did aquire them at about 4 inches though which could be why
