I am thinking of doing a tank of centrals with some trimacs and dovii, well because if you ddnt notice they are my fav.... so my ? was do you think if i put plants in there first like some swords and other big plants and let them root, and put the trimacs, and dovii in after they would be like two inches, they wouldnt uproot the plants it would be a 75 gall... i know small but there will be a biggr one this summer when it gets warmer so i can build the tank outside....

they WILL uproot your plants. especially the tri macs. mine moved dirt and gravel all day long. my dovii only usually messed with them when he wanted to start spawning. a 75 planted stocked full to the brim with nice well fed live bearers would make an ideal grow out tank for a show specimen dovii though. give it a shot though, experiment and see what works for you. what works for me may not work for you and vice versa.....let us know and get pics

Plants don't work with large cichlids. Also you'll need to upgrade very soon from a 75 gallon with fish like Dovii and Trimacs. Good luck with your tank.

They work with pike cichlids.....
Glad to see you chilled out dovii. Hate to see you banned permanently and posting on waterwussies...
