Centrarchus with free swimmers

My centrarchus have spawned and are now guarding free swimmers. This is their first spawn in the 125. Also I am officially setup to raise fry so hopefully everything goes well. You can see me messing with them a little at the end. These have become one of my favorite centrals.

Well I wouldn't say they are peaceful but they aren't super aggressive either. Somewhere in between? I have kept them with heavy hitters like cubans and my hogs and they are currently housed with sailfin mollies and some nics. Overall they do not seem intimidated by larger fish nor are they domineering around smaller fish. About average. When spawning of coarse all bets are off. You might as well have a pair of cons. They were able to successfully defend themselves from a 7in hogaboomarum.

No this is spawning dress. They look like this when not spawning.

Thanks, I am hoping being in the community setting will help make them even better parents.

Really? most people like the natural color better but to each his own I guess.
 
These are one of my favorite centrals, nice to see someone giving them some tank space. :thumbsup:
