cephalosilurus nigricaudus or apurensis

so i have had this little monster about 6 months got him when he was about 2" now he is just over 10. all i was told is that he was a jelly catfish. i have been trying to i.d him myself but cant make up my mind is it cephalusilurus nigricaudus or cephalusilurus apurensis. sorry for the bad pics

it came back as the apurensis. looks like im going to have a big fish on my hands. this thing has already killed other fish bigger then him. now he has a tank to himself. till my big tank is built
 
I know I'm reviving this thread, but I love all Cephalosiluris so I had too. As for the i.d. of this guy, it's always hard to i.d. a fish thru a pic I'd lean more toward a Nic then a Apu. I lean that way because of the shape. Your lil guy seems too squat in the face to be a Apu or a Fow. Though I could be wrong, did you contact the person Miguel suggested for help i.d.ing him? In either case I've kept Apu's and they're hands down one of my favorite fish tied by Hydrolycus Armatus(Saber-Tooth Tetra), Trachycorystes Trachycorystes, and Asterophysus Batrachus(Gulper Cat).
