There are a lot of Chinese imitations of Momotaro Bacteria House media on eBay. While readily available in the UK through koi vendors, the real Momotaro Bacteria House media is difficult to find in the USA. I inquired about it in June 2011 and finally got some in October 2013. I got 20 kg from Majestic Koi. It's the only source of Momotaro BH that I could find in the USA. It is not cheap.

Kissena aquarium. I saw them there a few weeks ago.

how do you know they have them there?? are you from NJ to find this in Flushing NY... funny how we all travel around the globe to get things for our fish....LoL

I honestly would stay away from all those and just buy pot scrubbers. They have worked well for me and many others. The cost of these media is outrageous and pot scrubbers achieve the same results for minimal costs. You dont really need that much bio media. The media you need depends on your stock yet you dont need 50 pounds of media for a single arowana for example, its just overkill. I use fluval bio max along with the scrubbers and it works great,

8 bucks for a pound isnt that expensive. A pound of bio max can handle a decent amount. Bio max is proven and out preforms knock offs.

The knock offs arent made perfectly and surface area suffers a GREAT deal. I think some bio max along with pot scrubbers is your best bet for filter media.

But there are some vendors on here that to bulk media prices but I forgot his name. Ill look for it and post it if i find it.
