Ceramic or Porcelin Tiles???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Porcelain tile is more dense than ceramic tile and has a water absorption rate of 0.5%. Ceramic absorbs more than 10 times the water porcelain does and is not meant for exterior use or wetroom (bathroom, kitchen, mudroom, etc.) use.

What about slate tiles? Nice natural patterning, chemically inert, and non porous.

I've seen slate. It looks a lot more natural than tile (because it is natural) and is completely safe. Only problem is its heavier so a little hard to install I'd imagine.
