If anyone remembers, I had 2 cetopsis cats and was looking for more. Well I now have 9 cetopsis @ 2-2.5 inches, expecting about 15 more by March. These little guys are awesome, a true monster fish if I've ever seen any. They're active, tend to leave tankmates alone for a while (although I don't really put anything valuable in there because I really don't trust them), they leave plants alone (when they grow and I have a large shoal, I'm planning a monster planted tank for them), and best of all - they frenzy feed like nothing I've ever seen before. IME they tend to leave healthy fish alone, and swim happily about ignoring everything else, but the second a fish is injured, it's like a complete personality change and all 9 are swarming that fish. I no longer keep them with cichlids for this reason, cichlids beat on each other and end up getting harrassed endlessly by these catfish. I believe that when they're larger, they'll need a species tank (or maybe I'll try some tiny neons with them). I am under the impression that they are more predatory towards fish their own size and larger...

Is anyone else keeping shoals of them? I know a few people keep 1 or 2, but they don't seem that popular.
