Ceylon Puffer...1st timer

Picked up a ceylon puffer...impulse buy, i know i know another uncontrolable bad habit of mine. Hes got a 90g FW corner tank all to himself, swimmin happily, eating frozen krill happily, daughter loves his Barney lookin face, all is happy in the puffer corner.

Anyways, what are the chances of raising this guy in FW his entire life? and after researching the internet got several different conflicting info on their size, LFS says 6", and I got 4", 8" and even 10" from websites. and also how aggressive are they with tankmates? LFS has a few more Ceylons available, would like to get him a puff buddy or two if aggression permits. Thanks guys

They will grow to 8", with the proper care & feeding so your tank size is perfect! Care & feeding is identical to the Green spotted puffer:

In short, i don't think they will be able to live out their lives in F/W unless you don't want them to survive long...

My friend at one stage bought one a while back thinking it was a SAP, then realized it was a Salty... at first he was reluctant to convert to salt, but after seeing his Ceylon not doing too well he started acclimating it at which point it seemed to do a lot better compared to when he was in Freshwater...

thx puffpunk and homer, I always figured if I was going to have a bw tank might as well go all the way and go full sw. well here we go haha
