Ceylon Puffer

I am looking for a Ceylon Puffer. Nobody in the New York City pet shops seems to know what a Ceylon Puffer is. I get blank stares....


If anyone can get one for me or know where to get one online let me know.

Those are seasonal and rare...have to wait till next year and they are brackish puffers but you can try giant spotted puffer they look similar to ceylon but also brackish.

I tried "Last Season" and like I said nobody seems to know what I am talking about when i ask for the Ceylon puffer.

GSP's are common. I want a kool rare brackish puffer.

tried contacting some of the shippers / larger aquatic suppliers maybe they can source one for you

well....lot of LFS have no knowledge about puffers because there are very little information about them in the hobby. Sometime they get one and they dont even know it but by believing what their wholesale guy tells them. I went to lfs one day the tank mark as ceylon puffer but it was a south american puffer. He insist is a ceylon because of what his wholesale guy tells him. Another LFS mark the tank as fahaka but it was actually a red eye puffer again he says thats what the wholesale guys says. let me give you a tip. Once i been looking for a particular puffer like yourself. I was loking for irrubesco's. I looked up through yellowpage in the internet and called almost every lfs thats driving distance to find them. I would ask if they carry irrubesco in the past or do they take special orders then i would leave my name and number. couple of months later one lfs called me back says they just arrived. You can try this method or calling nation wide and ask them if they have ceylon and would able to ship it to you.

Ok thanks Im gonna try that...but Im gonna continue bumping up my post hoping that maybe some vendors here or some individual person may have it and I might be in luck

are you sure thats what you want a ceylon puffers?..there are other puffer just as rare and interesting. I know because i have 5 tanks are nothing but FW puffers besides my clean up crew which is 5 oto's for brown algae's.
