hello every body im new here at mfk i have had a cfs500 running on my 120 for about a month now and the lid just broke tonight while cleaning and now im f#*#* ed is there any temp fix to the quick disconect so it wont leak as much??? any help apprecitated

YOU do have to be careful while installing for the first time. I use olive oil on All of the O rings to ensure that they were easily slid into place... (i.e. hoses and fittings..)

Th part the commonly breaks on these is where the hose connects to the canister... There's a mod thread on another message board for how to fix this. I believe you cut 3/4" PVC and glue it in place. I'm on my phone so I can't dig up that thread right now.

i think i got a temp fix with super glue and silcone waiting for it to set up cause atm i dnt have no filteration running on my 120Mastiffman;4712430;4712430 said:

Mine broke this morning too... I just super glued it back together. No problems. If you contact the seller you should be able to get a new lid for it though.
Also, I would run just this on a 120g, you'll probably want something to supplement it anyways.
