I have 4 auranti in a large tank. I have 1 definate male that seems to be dominant. Of the remaining 3 there are 2 that have a few wounds and ripped fins. I have seen no bonding behaviour yet between the other 2. Should I remove the 2 damaged fish in hope that the other 2 pair up or leave them all in a while longer until I see pairing behaviour?

Hi,

Let them together, when it gets worse remove the agressor. Otherwise he will see the whole tank as no other channa territory and tries to kill all others, including females.

2 of the smaller ones have now paired. I'll keep my fingers crossed for spawning success in the next year or so.
