saw these guys on the stocklist at tfd and thought they would be cool but i am reading up and finding that they arent good community fish, true?
it would be ina 125 with hepsetus odoe lima cat south american lung bichirs ect.

They are not community fish for sure. They will eat small fish, but if the tank mates are large enough, it should do just fine.

I am also wondering about the whole acididty thing if any1 has any opinions or experience with that

water temp for em is 72-76

if you add em to that mix WATCH THEM closely and make sure they don't get starved out they are STRICLY ambush predators feeders literally almost have to touch their face or sit for a little bit directly above they nose before that strike

decided against it i dont need any more fish that hid constantly xD

I had one about 10 years ago. Mine never hid. It would just sit on the gravel looking lifeless. The only way I knew it was alive and feeding was the fact that food was gone and it was in a different location than the previous day. If you have a lot of hiding places, I suppose it would not be out a lot.
