Doing a big redecoration for this guy. Ideally I'd like to get two more in the hopes of a mixed sex group and attempt to breed them. Unfortunately they're rather hard to come by, so that might be a pipe dream.

Who's kept them? Any suggestions for how I can decorate a 40 breeder so he stays comfortable but still more or less visible? Given his favorite hobby is pretending to be a half-buried, dead, wormy leaf, I'm feeling challenged.

I'm thinking light colored sand and java ferns on driftwood. Does anyone know if they like caves?20220420_142749.jpg

Keep an eye on the water parameters. Especially on KH and pH because these fish have an enormous waste production that often gets underestimated and can quickly lead to a pH drop.
Btw beautiful specimen with a lot of red.
