Chaca Chaca?

Hi MFK,

I'm looking for a site or any other resource that sells frogmouth catfish (chaca chaca). I have a hoplo now, this is the last thing missing from my 120. I could not find a single one, and my lfs does not carry it, as nobody in their right minds would buy one (they're so ugly!). But most of us at MFK are not in our right minds, so I trust somebody could find me one (probably thebiggerthebetter , he will probably have experience with these).

Will have to check the vendors lists. I think predatory fins had some in their last YouTube video.

Wes has some a while ago. Blue grass aquatics and exotic fish shop stocks them regularly.

Will need to be fed live food. Can wean to other foods but very difficult. I had a group and still have one now. It’s in a black water setup. Only being fed live, always qt, right now. Would be cautious with tankmates. Anything that can fit in it’s mouth will be eaten.

Mine seems to be hesitant to take live food, it’s as if he is always watching his weight. He’ll let zebra danios swim right past his face and let ghost shrimp crawl past him or even over his face.

They aren’t true freshwater. They need brackish water. Just FYI.

Just what I was thinking kno, I was looking to see if an actual freshwater stonefish had been confirmed before answering.
