I have a chaca chaca that i keep in an in-tank refugium but i'd like to take the refugium out because my severum keeps bumping into it. Can i put my chaca in with the rest of the population. I'm not worried about it eating the small fish but that it may stab the other cats with its dorsal fin. I have the following:
9" O. niger
3x3" stripped raphaels
2x2" spotted raphael
2x3" Flagtail portholes
2x 2-4" Royal plecos
2" gold severum
12" gold severum
3" frontosa
30 neon and black neons(moving soon)

interesting stock list- gotta see pictures of the tank setup to imagine all of those guys together and the in-tank ref that the chaca is housed in

how big is the frogmouth cat anyways.

2" chaca. Refugium is 12"x8"x6". I'm getting rid of the following soon:
2 pictus
2 cories
5 dojo loaches
the neons and black neons
1 spotted and 1 stripped raphaels

add him.....leave the neons for feeders. Whats your temp? A true chaca chaca likes 72-76. I keep 5 in my gf's goldfish tank.

has it started to eat yet ?

been eating neons, black neons, zebra danios and live shrimp for a month

I wouldn't be concerned as far as the niger has space to go around the chaca I think it'll work out just ok.
