Hey guys.
Been wanting to set-up an outdoor pond for a while, and I might do so.
Was gonna get a tank this summer, but I'd really like to have a pond.

I'm not sure how big the pond will be...
Probably gonna get one of these:

Anyways, its going to be outdoors ofcourse on my deck.
I live in the North West so it it gets pretty cold in the winter, and I'm just wondering if a chain pickerel or two would do alright in an outdoor pond all year?
Pondmate's will include a channel cat, and possibly another chain pickerel.

Thanks.
:)

A channel will quickly outgrow and eat the pickeral, that is unless you get a good sized pickeral (good luck with that) and a small channel. Still, you will be surprised at what some fish try to eat!

Ok cool.
I might just get another channel cat or two then.
I've seen channels with koi, so I might try that, or just get some fancy goldfish as they're cheap and if the channel eats them its no big loss.
