My tank is in a downstairs room with one window, the lights are set to come on at lunch time and I prefer the room to get light naturally, but also want/need the curtains shut at night for insulation. Working 24/7 shift work means I'm not always home/awake first thing in the morning to open the curtains, so what I really want is some sort of automation to open/close them. I'm sure there are probably off the shelf options, but I want something as cheap and simple as possible.
The window is 1600mm wide, and the curtain is a single piece fixed at the left end and pulled shut to the right. Anyone got some clever ideas???
