Hey everybody. I was just checking if a 175 gallon reptarium would be a good home for a Veiled or Panther chameleon for life. I like that it is only 4' tall because I have a good space for it, but I was wondering if it might be too small. If so, would the 260 gallon be more appropriate?
thanks in advance

In this case I think bigger is better. But it would be nice if the cages were a bit wider. Both species get pretty big. Ever think of just building one yourself? It wouldn't be that hard but I'm not sure how handy you are.

Chameleons don't move that fast, so the 175 might work. I'd get something bigger though.

I am pretty handy, and I have actually drawn up plans to build my own, but the reptarium just seemed much easier. I may buy the 175 for now and if my chameleon seems cramped a couple years down the line I will build him something bigger. Its just kind of difficult to make a DIY one look as nice and finished as a custom one.

is the reptarium one of those screened in things. or does it have solid sides?

ive never heard of a chameleon being in such a big tank lol
im sure both would be great for one if not two
but im sure u no 2 males cant be house together
or a male and a female i think?

the female will go crazy

Do some research on them. You'll find that the DO NOT like company. Keeping pairs together can be very stressing on each other. And both species can max out at about 2 feet in length and will make good use of all the available space.
