I usually put the water dragon babies in the chameleons mesh viv for cleaning. The hubby usually has her out for a shower and I clean her tank, transfer the babies and clean thier tank. Well I thought, its just a quick clean, so i threw all 5 babies into the cham's cage, and of course got called away by the phone, by the time i get back I have 1 FAT chameleon and only 4 babies :((

Live and learn, they are quick, and will eat things 1/2 thier size! and yes I did try a rescue, but I think the cham broke its neck as it wasn't moving, so I let her have it, no crickets for you!!

wow. im kinda suprised. maybe because i dont think of chameleons as predatory to other lizards. sorry about that, i love those babies

Large chameleons also eat small frogs, snakes, and birds.

I have seen chamelieons eat lizards and stuff on TV before. You would be suprised what they can eat.

that sucks i really like water dragons, i used to have a pair of them that i housed with my three foot iguana. they used to all just hang out together.

that sinks, i was going to get a water dragon but i got a chameleon instead.

i seen it somewere on the internet DANGIT i wish i could remember, anyway it was a 12'' chameleion owning a bird,
