So, in what is quite often the most exciting past time of the majority of fish lives; who are your nominations for most extreme diggers?

I'll start off with a pathetic example, being my old blood parrot that moved large mounds around in breeding behaviours.

Pics are welcome too haha

I would have to nominate my jaguar cichlid! The fish can completely block out a side of his tank with gravel over the course of a day haha.

My Oscar! Although he's not as extreme about it now that he's in a bigger tank and with other fish. Still a champion landscaper though lol.

My Firemouth cichlid! My gravel is about 1" thick in his tank, and he will clear some areas out and make 3-4" mounds of gravel.

When I had African haps my malawi sand diver--fossorochromis rosturus. I had a pair and they when scared would dig and bury themselves in the sand. Gorgeous fish if you never seen a male google them

male jag. he piles it up all over the place. every week.

My vote would go to my old pair of jags. Pile all the gravel to one side of the tank even after I fix it.

Freshwater-koi
Saltwater-diamond goby. Would cover rocks 6" tall in sand just to keep his burrow clean under the rock.
