CAN THESE 2 fish live toghther? and will the channa be ok in a bare bottom? tank? thanks

No, and no.... research the fish.... size, care, temperatures everything is different....

From where I've read temp is same 22-28 ph is adaptable maybe where I got it from is wrong then

Hi,

bare bottom is a NOGO for most fish and for snakeheads aswell !
These fish NEED hiding places to feel secure, some like to dig in the ground or even hide in the sand/gravel !
C. bleheri is a subtropical species that needs a variation in temperature and diet which can never benn offered properly top the fish in a community tank with Datnoids.

it was completly wrong. That is not surprising , all sorts of conflicting or even completely wrong information out there about many snake heads, especially the sub tropical species.

I own both datnoids and bleheri, and i can guarntee that they are incompatible for jus about every reason in the book, Size, care, temperament , you name it it's another reason it wont work. Both great species to work with though s picking one or the other i'm sure you'll be happy.
