Well, I have these two oscars that I was worrying about before since my arowana was chasing and biting them. They seem fine together now and there hadn't been any major problems(still keeping an eye on the aro though).

Anyway, I've gotten them together when they were 4 inches long(or maybe less) and they've always hanged out together. Now they are 8 inches long and they are always swimming together and defending each other against other fish(mainly the aro). When they hang out together at one end of the tank, they chase other fish(just a few tiny ciclids) away if come near.

Do you think I may have a pair that may breed?

what size is the tank?
if you want them to breed sucessfully id put them in another tank alone

It's possible. But I agree that you might want to get them a separate tank.
