Ok, so lets put a hypothetical scenario into play.

Chuckie has a sizeable pond and decides he wants interesting fish inside while also possibly gaining potential for profit. So he buys about 14 Kelberi and 14 Azul.

Would there be a chance for them to interbreed? Or will it still be possible to gain pure Azuls and pure Kelberis from this setup?

That would depend on the amount of each sex you put in. If you only put in female Azul and male Kelberi... No you wouldnt have that chance... However, the reality is, you would need to know the mating practices of peacock bass before you could determine the probability. If Azul will only mate with Azul then you have a 100% chance of having pure Azul. If that isnt the case then the numbers will skew if they mate with only one other rather than having multiple spawning partners. I can give you the probabilities of having pure of each if someone can inform me on the mating practices of kelberi and azul... :D

if you take the 14 azul out and send them to me i will send you money and you have a profit then you can just chill and wait for those kelberi to spawn and make you more money sort of a a nice investment without the worries of those darn azuls in the way

If only it were that easy. ;)

But isn't this what we have down in Florida, hybrid offspring of different species?

Chances are you could do this provided you had a massive pond and you could provide the right conditions for the cichla to breed. I think you would get mainly pure bred fry with little chance of hybrids. Given a choice I don't think they would cross breed. Best thing to do would be get established pairs from both types of cichla and remove and remaining cichla. However this is easier said than done.
