Chance to get a Florida Gar.....

This fish is already about 10 inches and seems really aggressive,i have never owned 1 before so i need info on the up keep of these guys....how big of a tank i will need,tankmates,what kind of food,ph.They want 30 bucks for this fish is this about right???All help is really appreciated!!!

this guy will need a big tank im talking big, i hate discourging people because i love the chance at getting a new monster , but ya. im not sure of exact tank size somebody help me out here but i know from my friend's that he has 2 in a 300g with other fish. i know some gars dont need a heater an some appreciate one i know flordia is pretty temprete so maybe other flordia natives as tankmates but again im not solid on the whole flordia gar subject i like the false gars better ofcourse my 2 cents feel free to disregard. $30 sounds like a good price though

In canada here I know that I can get a florida gar for $21. Tho from what I am reading you need a 200 gallon tank for it.

Other things I have read they are 51 inches at adult length.

I have a 12" florida gar that i got for 25$ and does very good in my 75 wide he can turn around easy and swims around all day. I feed him earth worms feeders and crickets.
