It appears someone is selling some nice Rio Tapajos marms on aquabid. They might be the ones that Shadowstryder was selling a while back, wouldn't surprise me really.

Either way, jump on it. I have. Haha.

Marms

Are these the adult pair for sale? I saw them and sent the seller a question, but I haven't heard back yet. Sorry I had to outbid you. :p

I saw those yesterday and resisted the urge to bid. There wasn't much information provided in the listing, especially about shipping, and I was nervous to have 12" fish sent from Illinois to Florida. Aside from the difficulties in shipping large fish, I'm sure the shipping cost to Florida would kill me.

My birthday is Sunday, so there's always a chance I'll make an impulse move and outbid all of you.

Considering the fish listed and the fact that the seller didn't list the reserve price I suspect that it will take a couple of "C notes" to acquire these fish. My $50 bid will cover about half of one fish.

Yeah, I am also curious about the reserve price. They are fairly close to me, main reason I was bidding on them.

I'm not going to start a bidding war on them though, so if you guys want em, you got them. I just wanted to bid at least once on them. Ha

Are you guys nuts?!?!?! I am half tempted to throw a real bid at them, even with USFW of $165 it may still be worth it!!! LOL

I wish there were more pics. I got a reply from the guy selling them; he says that's the actual pair pictured (you never know with some people so I figured I better ask) and he's shipping Delta airport to airport. I've never done that and I'd have to drive over an hour to get them.

It's still tempting, though. I have a basically empty 150g and 210g. I'd probably have to move my psittacus, but it could be worth it. Would they destroy other fish since they're a supposed pair?

I'm not convinced its an actual male/female pair. The pic provided shows nothing to make me think that there is even a female involved.

This is true. I don't know why I assumed it was a pair. The fish both look good, though. So it appears that they at least get along? Otherwise you'd think there would only be one by now...
