I have a Fredrichsthalli and a RTM in my 265g and as soon as my Dovii is big enough he will join them. What are the chances I keep them together? They are currently between 3 1/2" and 6 1/2", all males.

is that all you have in there? chances are slim with the dovii after they reach 8" or so. as long as the dovii is smaller than the others it will work lil longer. but you never know. maybe keep the tank pretty open without hiding places and add some other throw away cichlids to keep them from picking on each other too much then you can weed them out down the road. but as for pemanently i would recommend larger tank for the better odds:) post some pics. and good luck

They will not be the only fish in there. The Dovii will be the smallest in the tank though. I think I will move the Freddy into a 75 or 90, which I'm trying to buy real soon. The Freddy is #2 in command of the tank... Festae is #1. I don't have to put the Dovii in the big tank for a couple of months though, so I have some time. Last summer I sold my 125g and now I wish I kept it!!! I agree with you... over the long haul this will just not work in most cases.

The Dovii will at some point claim the tank and the rest of the stock will have a bad day.If Your stock list is current then You are already overstocked, when everyone is grown

Thanks for the replies. I know as my fish get bigger I will have a few decisons to make. As of now I do not have much aggression in my tank. Except for the Freddy... he chases the others from time to time. The Midas & Freddy lip lock once in a while, but not too much. The Festae runs the tank though... if the Freddy sees him coming he runs away. The Festae does not lip lock or even chase anyone that much... the other fish are just afraid of him. In a couple weeks I hope to get another tank (75 or 90) and I will put the Freddy, Midas, Black Belt & Lyonsi in there... maybe another, not real sure yet. Again, thanks for the replies.

honestly with that many fish in a 90 gallon tank will be overstocked all thos fish you plan to put in there get 12'' plus so you will prbly end up with one dominant fish as one will end up claiming that whole tank

Your Prob right. I "hope" I could put four of them in the 75/90, but prob not. Maybe only two or three. If not I have a cousin who has a few tanks and he would be more than happy to help out. I will do whats best for the fish. Thanks.
