Well my dad and mom have got in our living room tank (a 5x2x2) a pair of parrot cichlids at 5" and they are currently spawning against the background now. I know that they are infertile but i know that some pairs are fertile. What sort of chance do i have of them being fertile? They will end up getting eaten thought by my Clown loach or adonis plecos.

That sucks, I was wondering the same thing, because I have four jelly bean parrots
and three of them are almost seven years old now. The male and female keep spawning
two or three times a year but never any successful hatchlings.

also are you sure it is a male female pair? Over the years I think I have had three different pairs of female female spawn repeatively for me.

when they lay eggs are tan one's fertal? and why would they turn white like 2 days later? can any one help
Thanks
