I was planning on getting a 180 gallon tank and transferring my current fish over from my 80 gallon, and then getting a breeding pair for my 80 gallon.... but due to budget constraints, things can't go as planned. I am picking up a 118 gallon tank this weekend (Dimensions 72x18x21), and plan to divide my current fish between my 118 and my current 80 gallon because I think it would be to small for all of them in the 118.
My current fish are:
Vieja Synspillum
Oscar
Severum
Heckelli
Juruapari
Chocolate Cichlid
Uaru
School of rainbowfish
The top three fish are my more aggressive fish, while the bottom three are more mellow. I was thinking of maybe doing the following:
118 Gallon:
Vieja Synspillum
Oscar
Chocolate Cichlid
Heckelli
Jurupari
80 Gallon
Severum Pair (get a female for my male)
Uaru (maybe add two more)
School of rainbowfish
How does this sound? I am open to other suggestions as well. I am just trying to figure out what will be the best situation for my fish. My 118 will have an FX5 for filtration and my 80 has an AC110 and I'll probably also add a Rena XP4.
Thanks
