So I'm been feeding my blood parrots Omega One for quite some time and I decided to change foods in favor of New Life Spectrum due to the better ingredients and what I've read about it on here. Needless to say there has been a dramatic difference...I started out feeding them just as much of the NLS as I had been feeding the Omega One. Within a week their colors were brighter and they seemed more active, the ones with the humps on their heads got even bigger humps, but I quickly realized that they had also gotten FAT so I cut the amount of food I'd give them in half. It's been 4-5 days since I've started giving them the lesser amount and they've still got big bellys. They don't like it as much as the Omega One. My question is, is this normal? Should I be worried?
Water parameters are:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 30
(Did some water changes with the hurricane on the way)
The NFS seems messier too, or maybe I can just see it better because of its color.
