I like it! No issues with kicked up sand so far, and it's a nice color contrast.

Awesome man!! Did you soak the sand first? I don't know what brand I had, but it formed little clumps and floated. It was odd. Finally sunk after a day or two.

VERY cool though! Love how it makes the colors pop out!!
 
Nope, I just put it in. Got some film, but added some poly media to take it out.
 
The bgk looks like he's overwhelmed by loaches. Awesome contrast!!!
 
Looks amazing. I like the contrast as well. I think it gives a much more dramatic look (which is what I like.........). I've just noticed that the 1 tank I have with black substrate has an orange fish. I can't think of another substrate that would make the color pop more.
