As some may recall, i previously had a tile bottom on my 210g with a few pebbles on top. As i always do, i got bored of the setup and decided to change it up a bit.

Added about 140lbs of Red Mexican Beach Pebble. spent about $60 in total and had some left over. I think it looks awesome, i love the color of this rock.

what do you guys think??

thanks! yeah they sure do try though. the best they can do is push the rocks around and create a bald spot lol

problems with those large rocks are debris getting in crevices and rotting out. Plus if like to feed sinking (small) food stick for plecos, it can get between the cracks too. It does looks good, but not practical.

Looks good  let us know how the gavel vac goes:D

yeah cleaning it will be a pain, but no different than sand or gravel IMO. i took off the gravel tube on my python and just added a long rigid plastic tube about the diameter of the hose. works good so far

wonder if mixing that with sand would stop the bad stuff from getting in the cracks? looks beatiful i want to try that. nice arow

Looks awsome man! I might do something like that when I get a bigger tank. I want to stear away from sand when I upgrade. Definitely keep us updated on how the maintenance goes.
