So, as the titled explains. I changed to BB completely.
Last month I removed about half the gravel while doing a water change.
I did the same today.
There is a fair amount of detritus still on the aquarium floor.
Can I just do a 20% W/C tomorrow and get it out, or should I wait a few days?

you can do 100% water change if you need to wont hurt anything if your water is stable and same temp but a 20% is fine if you get everything

Alright, cool.
I'm going to try and get it out with a 20% and hope I dont stir the water up again or it'll be a real pain.
I'm going to get a power head in the tank for more circulation and to keep stuff off the bottom.

Go with substrate, I got into this habit after keeping discus leaving everything BB, much better results with gravel, Just MO

But BB is the best for discus... It sometimes stops peppering and IDK what makes you say everything is better, But i find cleaning BB are easier then gravel tanks.

IF u have detritus still left in the tank (from what i google i still have no idea) just leave a small pump on the ground and blow and for a few days, let it all collect on one side... stop the pump and suck it out with a smaller house.... might not need a smaller house but that should work... i hope lol

its personal preference man. i run bb on all my growouts but i use a thin, thin layer of sand on the big tank in the living room for looks. whatever you like....

Thats what I was gonna do.
My filters intake is in the middle of the tank, so I'm going to get a powar head an point it at the bottom of the tank(I need a power heard anyways not much current in my tank)
Tank is a 3x1x2' with an AC110 my only stock is a 4'' dat and an ABK.
I feel like I need more filtration and want to add a second AC110.
