Changed to Golden Pearl 4" from KK

So, in my previous thread I purchased a Red KK, that may be a female. I have since changed my mind, and am going with the Golden Pearl Dragon.

What do you guys suggest on feeding and water temp. I heard 84' is good for FH. Do you think I can let my KK parrot in with him?

I heard that flowerhorns for some odd reason don't attack parrot fishs... and the temp for my FH is around the 80s... Also I feed my FH 2-3 times a day.

Truth is even blood parrots are not safe with an aggressive fh.. It happened to me & I'm sure there are others as well.. I used to have the same mentality but after what happened to my bp, my whole perspective changed..

Food, well feed them shrimps, krills, frozen bloodworms, pellets & mealworms..

Any cichlid can attack another cichlid at any time in their life. NEVER totally trust a cichlid, even if they have been living together their whole life.

Variety of food is the key, with a good staple pellet and a variety of foods is best.

Some FH tolerates their tank mates more than others. Trust me, I've seen nasty FH's out there. As far as that Golden Pearl Dragon...ehh, more fancy names. Looks like a it's mix with a Malau or Kamfa and probably more to it also. Decent fish though. Try to bring out those pearls on the head as much as you can and then you got a really nice FH!
