changed to white sand....

I went ahead and changed from black sand to white sand and I'm really happy with it...whatt yall think?

So glad you posted, I've been trying to decide this myself between the two. I was worried the white would bleach out the color of my ray. Your fish look great. I think I'm going white! what is the sand and where did you get it?

& is that a crenicichla in there?

its playground sand from homedepot...and yes thats a venezuelan pike..i got him from a LFS and he had been there 2 months and was VERY skinny...hes fattend up and is really active...no problems between him and the cichlids

oh and that pic is 5 minutes after i put it in there, so you se it didnt cloud up much at all, just rinse it real good before putting it in.

definitely the white sounds stands out. the black blends too much with the stand.

I like the white better, and I'm sure it was much cheaper too! I have white in my malawi tank and was thinking of going to black... but now that I saw your before and after pics - I'm staying with the white.
