Currently my RBP only really eats feeder's, I know they're not the best, but I didn't raise the fish, and she doesn't seem to go for anything else. Lately she has been eating the goldfish flakes that I give my catfish, but doesnt show any interest in anything else I give them. I've tried not feeding her the comets for a while, only giving her other food, but she doesnt eat it, and after a few days starts attacking all the other fish. Anyone have any ideas what I can do..

Play the game . I had a Caribe eat live food onley I starved for 4 months (You Can Find The Post Here Some how) Would not eat pellets never did
I think they only do what they feal is best for them thay are such a shy fish and skiddish .
It will be hard to break habbet GOOD LUCK ! Keep updated

how big is the rbp?
if it eats flakes then try pellets.
you can always try shrimp, smelt, squid, fish fillet, etc

RBP's aren't picky meat eaters they'll eat basically any type of flesh live or dead.
Ofcourse aquatic flesh is best, try the above listing and best of luck with whatever tankmates you have.

just starve him until he takes other food. They can go a long time without food, a few weeks wont hurt him

she is about 7.5-8 inchs long, a good 2.4 inchs thick. She currently resides with 2 raphael striped catfish and a common pleco. The catfish are about 3-4 inchs long, same with the pleco. While they aren't aggressive on their own, they also will defend themselves against the piranha. Have tried pellets, with no success so far, the other fish usually eat them. I will continue to work on this though

i kno sum 1 who had a similar problem and he eventualy got them to eat krill however in the mean time in stead of comets use platys most LFS (like family owned ie not petco or sumthing corporate) can get platys for like 50 cents and sell them for like 60 so we just bought like 20 dollars worth and they breed fast as hell and the piranhas dont bother the fry too much just block the filter with like panty hose or netting so they dont get sucked up or better yet start a molly, platy or guppy breeding tank ive seen very sucessful 10 gallons especially with guppys. ps Commets are probably the worst thing i could think of feeding them
