changing bulkheads with water in tank

yea thats really the only way you can do it....
It depends where the bulkheads are. If they are on the back wall of the tank, just drain below them and replace them. If they are inside an overflow box, drain below the intake to the box. Then drain the overflow box, and replace them. If they are in the middle of the tank, you can't replace them without draining the tank.
My tank is drilled (on the bottom), an overflow and return on each back corner. Guess the only safe thing to do is drain. Thanks.
If there is an overflow box around the bulkhead you only have to drain the box. not the whole tank
