Anyone else have Oscars that change color? Mine will be very dark one day and then real light another. No change in attitude or swimming and the temp is the same. Is this bad? They seem fine but it just worries me when they look pale sometimes.

Cichlids change colors a lot for numerous reasons. Oscars can change color in the morning, at night, when they just ate, when they are being chased, etc.

Its natural, as long as the guy doesn't have injuries or open wounds or lesions its completely normal.

I'm glad you asked that as I've been wondering. One of mine gets extremely pale in random patches after eating and I wondered if it was normal. :)

Normal--don't worry about...most fish do it as a response to an everchanging underwater enviroment.

when my dads oscar is angry he goes grey, when hes not he is black.
