Hi Guys,

I'm changing tanks and i have to transfer my stock - the new set up has a sump and currently i run on canister filters.

I wondered what would be the best bet when making the move - take the media out the canister and dump it in the sump to seed the new media or set the two canister filters up on the new sump and let them filter the sump?

You could do either if you have like carbon bags in the canister I would put them right into the sump. Or if you can put some of the media for the new tank into the old tank for as long as you can to seed it. Even if its just in the tank.

Thanks :)

I'm looking to change over as soon as possible so any new media i'm dumping in the sump and getting it cycled before i actually change the stock over it's just because i know it won't be fully cycled that i wonder what is the best method of moving the mature media
