Changing Substrates??

Hey I currently have a stocked saltwater tank with a crushed coral base and i want to change it to a live sand base...what would be the easiest way to do this??

buy a large rubbermaid tub (how bigs the tank anyway?)

put the LR, most of the water, and fish in there

change out the sand

replace rock and water

re-add fish

Its a 55 gallon and if i dump the sand in wont it be a complete mess....Ill have to wait for a while untill the and settles right...Should i place filter and heater in the rubber maid container?
